When I was asked to review BushOil for Women, I was a bit sceptical at first, but then thought why not!! We all still seem to be quite reserved about our intimate areas, but will gladly brag about sexual experiences!

So #HOWDOESYOURGARDENGROW …….

BUSH OIL is a unique oil blend of 100% natural ingredients including Vitamin E, Argan, Jojoba and Grapeseed. These oils are nourishing and soothing on the skin, absorbing quickly, leaving you feeling soft, hydrated and non greasy! It also contains natural anti-inflammatory properties, making it a must have if you wax or shave your lady garden!

“Another added bonus is that it also includes a natural aphrodisiac!”

The oil is really quick and simple to use, a few drops a day leave you feeling fresh and nourished or you can use in between preening sessions to calm and soothe the skin.

MooGoo Skincare Review

I’ve suffered with eczema and psoriasis since I was three years old, over my face and body, and have tried many prescribed creams which many unfortunately are steroid based.

So when I received the MooGoo products to try, I was sceptical about it helping……..

2015-06-22 11.17.45I love how the products were sent, in a cute cow box with straw inside. it also contained a booklet with products and information on different types of skin disorders, which I found very helpful.

MooGoo Skincare are an Australian brand which was “first made when the founder adapted a cream used in dairy farms to help a family member with a skin problem. The dairy version of “udder cream” was designed to heal the cow’s udders and keep them in good condition for milking. It was full of skin repair ingredients and no gimmicks. Cows don’t care too much about the latest fad in skin care, or even “Organic blends of Horsetail and Bergamot…” They do need healthy skin on their most valuable assets. Although the original cream used in the dairy farms was legendary for its skin healing properties, it was thick and greasy. MooGoo modified the cream for human use by keeping all the skin healing properties but making it non-greasy.”

I was sent Irritable Skin Balm and Soothing MSM Cream to try and began using it straight away, as my eczema has been having bad flare ups on my face and neck and I want to stop the steroid creams!

I’ve been using the Irritable Skin Balm everyday as I feel it has really helped my skin, its soft and quickly absorbs into my skin and works well under make up!

Due to it only containing natural ingredients like sweet almond oil, aloe vera, vitamin e and olive, it smells so fresh and not chemically!! Irritable Skin Balm is free of Paraffin Oil (Liquid Paraffin) and all other petroleum based chemicals and preservatives. So no more thick, greasy heavy eczema creams on my face!

I love this lightweight natural alternative, which feeds my skin and has no skin damaging effects like steroid based creams do.  It is also suitable for babies and adults.

Soothing MSM Cream can be used in conjunction with the Irritable Skin Balm to give a really good boost of nourishment and calmness to the skin. This cream is also suitable as an all over moisturiser, which I use on my legs after shaving as it calms the irritation straight down and stops the itching!

The cream is full of skin healing ingredients. Including Allantoin (Comfrey Root Active), Vitamin E, Raw Coconut Oil and Honey. It contains 10% MSM (Organic Sulfur) which has skin calming properties.

This product doesn’t smell as nice, reminded me of playdough which I cant stand!, however once the cream was absorbed I could no longer smell it, which was good 🙂

My skin was left feeling silky, smooth and hydrated.

Since using these two creams, I no longer have itchy, red, tight patches on my face and neck and have stopped needing to use steroid creams to quickly help calm my skin. I am very shocked with  how well my skin has improved in such little time and I feel so much better in myself, without feeling i’m being stared at due to the eczema.

I will definitely be recommending this range to many people, and look forward to purchasing more from them as they have a much bigger range of products from baby, body, fake tan to make up!!  For more information on MooGoo and their products click on the link MooGoo Skincare

Sun Sense SPF50 Face and Lip Products

SunSense recently sent me three of their new reformulated products to try. I received Anti-ageing face spf50, Anti-ageing face matte spf50 and lip balm spf50.

IMG-20150309-WA0001

SunSense is the UK’s number one prescribed sunscreen, as it has the highest sun protection factor, and protects against both UVA and UVB radiation. They are also the number one suncare formulated to Australian standards.

“Their extensive range has products for everyone, and has been specially formulated using high quality ingredients that quickly bond to skin. Each product is unique in its formulation, and some have recently been reformulated to meet stringent new laws on the labelling of sunscreens in Australia.”

Product What I liked about both the anti-ageing face and face matte, were as well as being light weight and spf50, they didn’t leave my skin oily or with a white sheen like a lot of high factor products have done!

The matte version was my favourite as I love a complete shine free matte finish on my face.

The lotions quickly absorbed into my skin leaving it soft and smooth, with no nasty smell due to them being fragrance free. Very simple to use too, simply shake well and apply a small amount over the face, neck and chest.

As well as providing anti-ageing benefits and high protection, they also contain AHAs, vitamins E and B3, helping to fight signs of lines and wrinkles.

The lip balm was a surprise, I thought it was going to leave my lips tacky and uncomfortable due to the high sun protection but I was wrong. The balm glided on nicely with the attached applicator and left my lips silky smooth  thanks to the added vitamin E.

Claire Tries Vintage!

I put my Scarlett & Jo dress with some grey wedge heels from New Look

Now that I’m getting back onto the dating scene, I’ve been rummaging through my rather unflattering wardrobe and decided I need to start dressing with some style to feel more confident and attractive!

Thankfully, Scarlett & Jo have come to my rescue, by sending me this beautiful dress from their new Spring Romance collection for Evans.

The new collection celebrates Scarlett & Jo’s one year anniversary, and the range has a vintage 1940s and 50s theme, ranging from tea dresses to retro prom dresses, all of which seem to flatter my mummy curves!

This beautiful dress is their black retro wrapfront midi dress, which features a retro, swirled pattern, and I can tell it has been well made from its gorgeous, thick fabric, to it’s lovely empire seam detail. It has back ties for underneath the bust, and even small shoulder pSAM_0622ads to help create the classic hour-glass figure I crave so much!

I love this midi-length dress, as it covers the tops of my arms, and reaches my knees (two areas I prefer to hide), and it has a very flattering cut.  The only thing that would make it look better would involve me growing a decent-sized cleavage to suit the v-shaped, plunging neckline (plastic surgeons please feel free to get in touch).

Scarlett & Jo say their mission is to “inspire and express both personality and confidence” and I think they’ve achieved this with the spring romance range. I feel that confident in this dress that I intend to wear this to my first dating experience this week, and I’m already eyeing up others in this fab collection for my future dates!

British Plus Size Fashion Weekend Is Nearly Here!

Last year, the very first British Plus Size Fashion Weekend (BPLFW) was such a huge success that it’s now become a yearly event! BPSFW

This year it’s sponsored by Evans, and will feature UK and international plus size designers, plus size models strutting their stuff on four catwalk shows (including bridal wear and swimwear) and an impressive VIP gift lounge.

There will also be a marketplace of great clothes you can buy, and the products will be laid out in departments, categorised by women’s body shapes (pear, apple, hourglass and inverted triangle), and experts will be on hand to help you find clothes that best suit your body type.

Designers being featured at the event, which is being held on 15th Feb in London, include: Simply Be, Dearcurves, Yours, Dea, O’Phee’s, Dynasty, Jane Watson and Syreeta Badu.

The event, which was the biggest UK plus size fashion event ever, was designed by writer of ‘Trapped in a Skinny World‘, Remi Ray, and Evolve Magazine‘s Rianne Ward, because they wanted to  ‘‘ENHANCE, EDUCATE, EMPOWER and SUPPORT the UK plus-size industry by connecting the dots between the retailers, designers and consumers”.

I didn’t manage to attend last year’s, but am going to try my hardest to go this year, as it looks fabulous!
