Giveaway: Pendeza Tights for Darker Skin Tones

Five of you lucky readers now have a chance to win a pair of Pendeza pantyhose in the size of your choice!

Pendeza are one of the first companies to have created hosiery for a range of darker skin tones and in a range of sizes including those for tall and/or plus size women. 10275413_10156395871055244_186784248555440848_o 12705597_10156508949990244_8396991835743335089_n

Their sizes range from S to XXL and Q (for taller women) and they have a selection of ranges including the Toned Collection and Black Secrets range which can help to enhance your curves.

There are five shades from Tone 10 (lightest) to Tone 50 (darkest). I tried a pair of the Tone 10 colour and was pleased with the result. My legs looked natural and the quality of the 15 denier tights is good for the low price, as my legs looked smoother.

And the most important thing it offers is comfort! They are nice and light unlike so many other tights I have had the misfortune to attempt to wear on nights out.

Pendeza tights can be bought online from companies such as Superdrug and their website can also give you addresses of shops you can purchase them in locally.

Review: A Collection Of Plus Size Tights From UK Tights

If you’re anything like me, tights have always been a difficult thing for me to wear, because of my height, dress size and big feet!

I’ve also never seen any that match my skintone, so have only ever been able to wear black ones, which don’t always go with all dresses and skirts I would love to wear in the winter!

So when I noticed UK Tights sell a range of tights that can meet all of my above needs, I had to give them a try…

The Range I Was Sent To Test By UK Tights

The Gerbe Ethnic Tights (15 denier) are for people like me from mixed parentage families. I have a light brown skin, and tested the Peau Bronzee shade.

I was pleased they come in a range of shades, both lighter and darker than my skintone, and when I tried them on I could tell they were of very good quality. They felt lovely on my skin, and they matched my skintone very well, to the extent that when I looked in the mirror I didn’t look like I had any tights on, which has never happened to me before.

They are also seamless and have an invisible waistline which were even more bonuses, so they will definitely be products I wear in future.

I was also sent a couple of pairs of tights from Pamela Mann, which is a company I have reviewed before and also loved. I tried the Pamela Mann Heart Seam Tights (Denier 28) which are gorgeous, if a tad fiddly to get the seam line straight! These will definitely be ones that I shall be wearing with my vintage-inspired dresses, such as my ophelia dress, as they complete the look well.

The Pamela Mann All Over Sheer Bow Tights (Denier 15) were more of a quirky style, with little bows all over the black tights. These I already have in mind to wear for an upcoming Halloween party, so watch this space!

I also got to review the Naomi and Nicole Amazing Light Adjustable Rise Thigh Slimmer. This is something I shall be using a lot over the winter months, especially when Christmas parties start to appear on my calendar, and Christmas food appears in my tummy! I loved how they smoothed my stomach out, never mind my thighs, so they will be going on under my dresses from now on.

They have great elastine which gripped my body well, so when I was walking it didn’t ride down at all unlike some cheaper brands I have tried in the past.

So all in all, I was very pleased with the selection UK Tights sent me, and they are definitely going to be a website I shall be using from now on for tights, stockings and leggings!

Pamela Mann Footless Tights

Due to my lovely, long feet I do not enjoy tights. Even as a baby my mum had to cut the feet off my babygrows, because whilst the legs fit perfectly, the feet were always way too small for my flippers.

So I was pleased to see that Pamela Mann offer a pretty extensive range of footless tights in LOADS of designs, from classic to bold and even multicoloured.

They kindly let me try a pair to see how I got on, and I love them!

They are a good quality material and I love the retro, but funky design that my pair have. I tend to ladder mine within the first few seconds of wearing them, so was very happy that I have worn them a couple of times now and they have remained in tact! I have had a lot of compliments when wearing them from some rather cute guys so I’m definitely going to be purchasing some more!

They have tights, leggings and footless tights with some going up to an impressive size 32, and I noticed they currently have a pretty good sale going on!

Cellulite-Busting Leggings & Tights!

Moda Cosmetica - Trim Pins

I can tell you are already raising your eyebrow in disbelief, but as the saying goes, “don’t knock it until you try it”.

As you are aware I recently reviewed some TrimPin tights (see review here) and thought they were brilliant, as my legs felt so soft after wearing them each time. So when I found out TrimPins also sell leggings, I immediately contacted them to get a pair, as you know how obsessed with leggings I am!

The leggings also contain their patented technology, which is a special technology that they use to add fat burning and moisturising chemicals to their leggings. So basically these chemicals are absorbed into your legs whilst you wear them and they help reduce both fat and cellulite-are you as amazed as I am?!

They appear to do a wide range of sizes and go up to an XL. When they arrived I got quite excited as they are clearly made from good quality material which means they will hopefully last me a while!

They have a contour support on the waist area, so it adds some control to your stomach which is definitely something I find useful since having a baby, and I did feel very supported when I moved around.

The Leggings Go Well With Mini Skirts

They have a beautiful sheen to them similar to the range of tights they sell, so I could easily wear this on their own or under a dress for an evening out and they would suit both styles.

I found these very comfortable to wear, even in the current humidity, so I wouldn’t find it difficult to wear these everyday in a bid to shift my fat and cellulite, which they claim will reduce within 3 to 4 weeks!

Here are some photos of me trying them out with a lace mini skirt from Primark and a long, bold blue tee from TK Maxx. I think I will be wearing them under a few of my new vintage tea dresses at night, and during the day I will wear them on their own with some long, bright tees with chunky necklaces and a satchel.

They are currently priced at just over $75 (the website does it in dollars on the UK site) which is higher than I would usually pay for leggings, but then if they shift fat, and they moisturise your legs, this is much cheaper than some of the outrageously expensive treatments some women opt to have at salons and spas!

Summer Fashion Tips for Bums, Tums and Thighs!

I love summer, but I don’t love wearing less clothes in order to cope with it!

Whilst I adore dresses and skirts, I rarely wear them when I’m this size as I get the famous ‘chub-rub’ which results in spots, soreness and at times even blisters on my thighs if I have done a lot of walking in skirts or dresses in summer.

But thankfully I’ve now found some things that can help with this, as well as with trying to flatter my shape in dresses more, and to feel comfy in general during the summer!

Aldi Skin to Skin underwear

Aldi have recently launched a new clothing range (yes I didn’t know they did clothes either!) and they kindly sent me some underwear to review. Unfortunately the pants are a few sizes too big for me, so you (luckily) didn’t have to see me modelling them, but from what I can see they are good quality material and look like they would be very comfy, if not a bit Bridget Jones-like and old fashioned in style.
These would definitely be for days that I want to slouch around, or if it’s “that time of the month”, and they would also ensure no embarrassing panty lines or textures would be shown whilst wearing black leggings which is a bonus.
