Sensse Anti Ageing Cleansing Brush

 

 

 

I was recently asked if I would like to review the Sensse Anti Ageing Cleansing Brush , I definitely wasn’t going to say no as I’m joining club 30 next month and will be needing all the Anti Ageing help I can get soon!!

Firstly,  I was very impressed with how the Sensse Anti Ageing Cleansing Brush arrived, beautifully presented in a simple white box with rose gold writing, very clinical looking!

Within the box you receive:

• USB cable charging base
• Cleansing Brush
• Sensitive brush head
• Brush head protection cover
• Small information booklet

 

 

Before first use, you must charge the device with its USB charging Base,  for 18 hours to be fully charged. This will give you up to 60 one minute uses.

The silky soft sensitive brush head is designed for all skin types and provides 7200 oscillations per minute, to gently but deeply cleanse the skin with maximum effectiveness.

The white and rose gold device, has a built in one minute timer, which beeps every 20 seconds to tell you to move on to a different section, and 3 speed intensity levels, ranging from gentle cleansing to deep exfoliation.

 

The silky soft bristles are gentle on the skin to delicately massage and promote blood circulation. With regular use, this stimulates collagen and elastin production to visibly reduce wrinkles and fine lines for youthful, firm and smooth skin.

 

You are recommended to use the Sensse Anti Ageing Cleansing Brush 2-3 times a week and to replace the brush head every 3 months, however after searching their website, as stated in the booklet, I am still unable to find replacement heads to purchase. I’m sure they will be much easier to find in the future!

 

How to use:

• Remove make up prior to use.
• Apply preferred cleanser to dampened skin.
• Dampen the brush head and slide over the face in circular motions. 20 seconds on each area. (forehead, nose/chin, cheeks and neck)
• Rinse face and dry. Rinse and dry brush, applying the protective cover once finished.

 

 

I’ve been using the Cleansing Brush for a couple of weeks now and am seeing some changes in my skin, it feels much softer and looks smoother.  I haven’t got ageing lines just yet so can’t comment on the anti ageing benefits, but my skin does feel plumper (in a good way).

It is easy to use once you get into a routine with it, choosing which intensity level you prefer and getting used to how quickly 20 seconds goes!  I’m still finding my foaming cleanser splatterers across the bathroom, this could be due to amount of pressure applied or how I’m circling the brush on my face. I’m still working on this!

Overall I am impressed with the Sensse Anti Ageing Cleansing Brush, I’ve seen results from the first few uses and love the look and feel of the device. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a thorough cleanse, exfoliation and radiance boost in so little time!

MooGoo Skincare Review

I’ve suffered with eczema and psoriasis since I was three years old, over my face and body, and have tried many prescribed creams which many unfortunately are steroid based.

So when I received the MooGoo products to try, I was sceptical about it helping……..

I love how the products were sent, in a cute cow box with straw inside. it also contained a booklet with products and information on different types of skin disorders, which I found very helpful.

MooGoo Skincare are an Australian brand which was “first made when the founder adapted a cream used in dairy farms to help a family member with a skin problem. The dairy version of “udder cream” was designed to heal the cow’s udders and keep them in good condition for milking. It was full of skin repair ingredients and no gimmicks. Cows don’t care too much about the latest fad in skin care, or even “Organic blends of Horsetail and Bergamot…” They do need healthy skin on their most valuable assets. Although the original cream used in the dairy farms was legendary for its skin healing properties, it was thick and greasy. MooGoo modified the cream for human use by keeping all the skin healing properties but making it non-greasy.”

I was sent Irritable Skin Balm and Soothing MSM Cream to try and began using it straight away, as my eczema has been having bad flare ups on my face and neck and I want to stop the steroid creams!

 I’ve been using the Irritable Skin Balm everyday as I feel it has really helped my skin, its soft and quickly absorbs into my skin and works well under make up!

Due to it only containing natural ingredients like sweet almond oil, aloe vera, vitamin e and olive, it smells so fresh and not chemically!! Irritable Skin Balm is free of Paraffin Oil (Liquid Paraffin) and all other petroleum based chemicals and preservatives. So no more thick, greasy heavy eczema creams on my face!

I love this lightweight natural alternative, which feeds my skin and has no skin damaging effects like steroid based creams do.  It is also suitable for babies and adults.

Soothing MSM Cream can be used in conjunction with the Irritable Skin Balm to give a really good boost of nourishment and calmness to the skin. This cream is also suitable as an all over moisturiser, which I use on my legs after shaving as it calms the irritation straight down and stops the itching!

The cream is full of skin healing ingredients. Including Allantoin (Comfrey Root Active), Vitamin E, Raw Coconut Oil and Honey. It contains 10% MSM (Organic Sulfur) which has skin calming properties.

This product doesn’t smell as nice, reminded me of playdough which I cant stand!, however once the cream was absorbed I could no longer smell it, which was good 🙂

My skin was left feeling silky, smooth and hydrated.

Since using these two creams, I no longer have itchy, red, tight patches on my face and neck and have stopped needing to use steroid creams to quickly help calm my skin. I am very shocked with  how well my skin has improved in such little time and I feel so much better in myself, without feeling i’m being stared at due to the eczema.

Review: Q10 Day & Night Cream, Bio-Quinone Q10 and Replen10 Masks

As the eldest sister of this duo, I’m the most relevant one to review these anti-ageing creams and supplements, so apologies if I don’t write as well as our beauty expert Nat!

I turned the big 30 a few months ago and have started to notice grey hairs, dry skin and all the other lovely little changes that are starting to occur to my ageing body and it’s not the nicest feeling.

Replen10 have a unique range of masks for your face, eyes and even your mouth to help improve the look of your skin and wrinkles.

Their Wrinkle Reducing Eye Masks are incredibly intensive and are designed to help reduce the visibilty of fine lines and to reduce any dark bags under the eye which I have most days!

Their Wrinkle Reducing Face Masks are similar but also aim to improve the skin tone and even have an after-sun repairing action.

The Wrinkle Reducing Lip Masks focus on improving the skin and reducing fine lines around the mouth, which is particularly important for any smokers out there to avoid looking like you’re sucking on a lemon permanently!

I was impressed with these products particularly because they gave me an excuse to kick back, relax and enjoy a good face mask which is something I haven’t done since having a child. My face felt softer and more plump after using them so I would recommend them to anyone who is starting to notice wrinkles appearing.

Pharma Nord’s have some anti-ageing products and I was lucky enough to sample their Q10 Day and Night creams and their Bio-Quinone Q10 supplements.

The day and night creams are paraben-free and have lots of lovely, natural moisturising ingredients. The day cream aims to help dry skin and loss of collagen which keeps our skin nice and plump. It’s described as an intense moisturiser, and after sampling it for one week I’m not sure if it is intense enough for me.

I hate how tight my face feels after it’s been washed so love a moisturiser that instantly softens it, but this one took a couple of applications to get that feeling. Other than that, I really like how light it is and non-greasy and that the ingredients are natural, because this is something hard to find!

The night cream aims to regenerate skin overnight and is more intensive than the day cream. I could definitely tell that it is a thicker cream and I did wake up with soft skin, so it did what it claimed!

Sun Sense SPF50 Face and Lip Products

SunSense recently sent me three of their new reformulated products to try. I received Anti-ageing face spf50, Anti-ageing face matte spf50 and lip balm spf50.   

SunSense is the UK’s number one prescribed sunscreen, as it has the highest sun protection factor, and protects against both UVA and UVB radiation. They are also the number one suncare formulated to Australian standards.

 What I liked about both the anti-ageing face and face matte, were as well as being light weight and spf50, they didn’t leave my skin oily or with a white sheen like a lot of high factor products have done!

The matte version was my favourite as I love a complete shine free matte finish on my face.

The lotions quickly absorbed into my skin leaving it soft and smooth, with no nasty smell due to them being fragrance free. Very simple to use too, simply shake well and apply a small amount over the face, neck and chest.

As well as providing anti-ageing benefits and high protection, they also contain AHAs, vitamins E and B3, helping to fight signs of lines and wrinkles.

The lip balm was a surprise, I thought it was going to leave my lips tacky and uncomfortable due to the high sun protection but I was wrong. The balm glided on nicely with the attached applicator and left my lips silky smooth  thanks to the added vitamin E.

Girls Night In Bundle Competition and Review

Belissimo Lips

I recently received a cute little lip glitter set, as part of the Belissimo Lips Range, from BelissimoBoutique.

The set came in a black drawstring bag, containing a pot of glitter in Cerise, a bottle of glue and 4 sealed cotton buds, with application guide on business card.

I was surprised how easy it was to apply the product, I expected glitter all over my face and floor! But with 2 simple steps you can’t go wrong!

1. On clean lips, apply a small amount of glue with a cotton bud, making sure you keep your lips apart until the end.

2. Apply glitter to lips using the cotton bud. I applied it in dabbing motions to build up colour.

once complete allow to dry for a few minutes, avoiding food, drink and kissing! during this time, and that’s it!!

The lip adhesive is water based and specially formulated for sensitive skin, it’s non-irritating and safe enough for children to also use.

I don’t usually wear lipstick as I find it too heavy on my lips, so was a bit worried I was going to feel very uncomfortable wearing the glitter, but I was wrong it is lightweight and didn’t irritate me in any way! No tacky lips! I definitely recommended this for your xmas/ new years party!

Treating My Tootsies

If you are a mum, you probably understand the need for me to sort my feet out!

My feet have always been so soft and I remember finding it so odd watching my mum use pumice stones on her feet due to having such hard skin, but now it all makes sense!

I am clearly on my feet a lot more these days with my toddler, and I rarely have time or the energy to pamper myself after my daily showers like I used to, so I’m now in the position where the soles of my feet are cracking and peeling (gross I know).

So when Premier Healthcare & Hygiene Ltd gave me the chance to try CCS Foot Cream I obviously said hell yeah! 

New Viktor&Rolf feminine fragrance – Bonbon

I’ve always been a sucker for Gucci fragrances, especially Gucci Guilty mmmmmm!

However I recently came across the new Viktor&Rolf fragrance Bonbon and fell in love!

This uplifting fragrance is ideal for summer with its sparkling, effervescent mandarin and orange.

Its sweet hint of peach thoroughly compliments the caramel notes and the warming jasmine combines with the orange blossom to really give you that summer feeling……AMAZING!!!

Bonbon is an eau de parfum so is long lasting throughout the day. I do 2-4 squirts and it lasts all day.

You can buy it in a 30ml, 50ml or 90ml. The larger size always works out better value for money, so I will be saving.

Bonbon now comes in body lotion and shower gel….. more temptation!
